Benchmarks

These benchmarks reflect actual in-game performance of the various combinations of hardware included. There seems to be a great scarcity of actual in-game benchmarks. Most websites use “EFPS” (estimated frames per second) or comparison benchmarks, but don’t take the time to record the actual FPS in-game. Because of this, most benchmarks you will see for certain hardware in a specific game are inaccurate, and not reliable when looking to buy a processor or graphics card. With this tool, I’ll be looking to make a resource that accurately gives FPS for any GPU-CPU combination in 1080p, 1440p, or 4K, on most popular games.

This is a tall order, and it will take a while, so understand that this product is currently a work in progress. To start with, I will strive to get all 1080p FPS benchmarks for the most common CPU-GPU combinations into the database before I move on to less-frequently requested benchmarks such as 4K. Thanks for your patience.

Benchmarks given are the average FPS over an extended period of time, so keep this in mind. For example, the listed FPS for Fortnite on low settings @1080p may be 120 for a GPU-CPU combination, but if you are trying to play at steady 120FPS, you may want to look for a combination that’s benchmarked closer to 140FPS, so that even when the framerate drops you stay above 120.
