If I told you that you could earn free money, you’d probably question the voracity of this claim, and rightly so. There’s no such thing as free money, right? In this case, there is. Unikrn, a popular esports betting website, has a feature called UMode that allows you to bet on the outcome of your own games. There catalog of games with which you can do this includes Fortnite, CS:GO, Warzone, Dota 2, PUBG, Halo 5, Starcraft 2, and Teamfight Tactics. You bet however much you see fit up front, and it’s multiplied by a set amount if you win. If you lose, however, you lose all of what you put in. So, for example, if you put $10 into a bet on a Solo Victory Royale, you would end up with $24.20 if you won your game. If you lost, however, your 10 bucks is gone.
Unikrn encourages you to deposit money up front, but you don’t have to. I didn’t, and I ended up with a little over 50 bucks after about an hour of playing. The secret is to cash in on their bonus cash for doing certain challenges, such as completing your account information. Prizes generally range from about 25 to 90 cents, and you can convert these free bonuses into a comparatively large sum of cash in a short time.
The trick to earning a good bit of money is to put it all on the line at once. The reason you should do this is because, to maximize your profits, you need to play as few games as possible. Every time you win in a game, your multiplier decreases. When I put my first bet in, I had a 4.83x multiplier, so I turned $1.57 into $7.58. The next time around, though, my multiplier was only 4.6. And on my third bet, I only got a 3.32x multiplier. If I were to bet again on the same category, a Solo Victory Royale, I’d only get a 2.42 multiplier. So for every game you win, the profitability decreases. For this reason, you should bet as much money as possible if you’re trying to maximize potential profit.
I didn’t do this, but rather played it safe. My first two bets I went all-in, but on my 3rd bet I only put in $7, even though I had $34.87 at my disposal. As a result, I ended up with only $50 when I could’ve had $115, had I gone all in. I didn’t want to risk losing all of my money though, as I would’ve been content to walk away with $20, so I didn’t. In the end, it’s your call whether you want to go all-in or walk away once you’ve reached a respectable balance.
One thing to keep in mind when using Unikrn is that you have to wager a certain amount in order to be able to cash out money that was made from free bonuses. For me, it was around 15 bucks. This is called the referred to by Unikrn as “turnover”, and you can view it by clicking on your cash balance in the top right corner. Once you meet the turnover amount, you can go into your account settings and begin withdrawing your funds. It’s worth noting that you have to submit two identity-verifying documents, such as your Driver’s License, passport, bank statement, or other official documentation, before you’re able to withdraw money. Rest assured that Unikrn is trustworthy, as they have been reviewed and endorsed by many major publications including Forbes, the New York Times, and many others.
In order to maximize your chances of success, I’d recommend playing Fortnite’s “Solo Victory Royale” challenge, and avoiding any kill quotas. If it’s near the beginning of a season or you’re very low in Arena points, you should play two games of “Solo Victory Royale” in public matches, and play your third in the Arena category. This will give you 10x multiplier, and Arena matches are incredibly easy at low levels. Here are some of the strategies that I focused on to ensure I got the win every time:
- Drop in a remote location, preferably one that’s completely uncontested.
- Farm max materials as early as you can.
- Avoid fights if at all possible. Remember, you’re only getting paid to win, it doesn’t matter if you end up with 0 kills.
- Prioritize meds over utility. You’re better off carrying extra shields instead of a sniper, as survival is the only priority.
- Make sure to stay ahead of the storm. If you get caught up in a storm-fight, that often ends up costing you the game.
- Box yourself up as soon as you get into zone or camp in bushes. There’s no shame in playing extremely passive; you’re making money while the rest of the lobby is probably not, so the joke’s on them.
By following these guidelines, you can maximize your chances of winning, and consequently making money. While there’s no guarantee you’ll come away with anything, it’s incredible to think that there’s opportunity at all to make truly free money with no risk involved. Worst case scenario, you’ll end up losing money that you never had in the first place.
